Challenge
The United States Post Office in Newark, NJ was undergoing renovation in their building since they had no dock area for deliveries in their building. They contacted JPC Group Inc., who then reached out to Grace Material Handling with their needs.
Solution
During the planning stages, Grace Material Handling worked with Mr. Mike Evans, from JPC Group Inc., to provide the post office with an Advance Lift pit mounted dock lift (model # T2-60608); which was installed inside the post office’s building.
The building was only a few feet away from a very active street. Due to its location, the lift had to be quickly and carefully cherry picked into a very tight location with a special boom truck (mounted on the rear of a flat bed).
Grace Material Handling had very close coordination with the contractor, the trucking company, and the installer in order to successfully install their new lift for their dock area.
